How to Adjust the Temples and Fit of Your Glasses

Properly adjusted temples ensure that your Oscar Blue™ blue light glasses fit comfortably and stay securely in place on your face throughout the day. Adjusting the temples may seem challenging, but with the following instructions, you can safely make adjustments yourself. If you are unsure or find the process difficult, it is recommended to consult a professional at an optical shop.

Required Materials

  • Soft surface (e.g., microfiber cloth or clean towel)

Instructions for Adjusting the Temples

Adjusting the Ends Behind the Ears

  1. Heating:
Gently warm the temple ends that curve behind your ears. You can do this by holding them under warm water for a few seconds or using a hairdryer on low heat for a short time. The heat will make the material more flexible and easier to adjust.

  2. Shaping:
Once the temple end is more pliable, carefully bend it to achieve a better fit behind your ears. Do this slowly and gently to avoid damaging the temples.

  3. Cooling:
After shaping, allow the temples to cool and harden into their new shape before wearing.

Adjusting Nose Pads

If your glasses have adjustable nose pads (model 03), you can fine-tune their position for a better fit.

  1. Adjusting:
Gently grip the nose pads and adjust them slowly. You can move them closer together or farther apart, depending on how the glasses sit on your nose.

  2. Testing:
Try on the glasses after each adjustment and check the fit in the mirror to see how the changes affect the positioning.

Adjusting Temple Width

If the glasses feel too tight or loose around your head, you can adjust the temple width.

  1. Heating:
As with the ends behind the ears, gently heat the middle section of the temples.

  2. Shaping:
Carefully bend the temples outward or inward, depending on whether you need a looser or tighter fit. Do this very gently to prevent damage.

  3. Cooling:
Allow the temples to cool and set in their new position.

Important Notes

  • Avoid using excessive force when adjusting the temples; too much pressure can damage the glasses.

  • If you are unsure how to adjust your glasses safely or need significant adjustments, it is recommended to take them to a professional at an optical shop.

  • If you accidentally damage the glasses while adjusting them, contact our customer service at [email protected].

  • For model 04, adjustments are easier and worry-free. These glasses are highly flexible thanks to their TR90 + titanium temple materials.

By following these instructions, you can safely adjust the temples of your Oscar Blue™ blue light glasses yourself. Remember that small adjustments can significantly improve how comfortably and effectively your glasses protect your eyes during daily use.
